For this fabulous hand made French Textile pillow I used:

The Front: Created from an antique French Toile De Nantes valance. The pattern is called "Le Char De L'aurore" (The Chariot of Dawn) was originally printed by Petitpierre et Cie 1785-1789. A very rare and collectable print!!! Copper plate printed on linen. This is an outstanding piece of history for any collector or admirer! The valance had been stowed for decades seemingly unused as the the background is crisp and the color bold. I have accented the hand sew scallop and edging on three sides. 
Back: A lovely simple nubby homespun linen with just enough interest to stand next to this outstanding print without distracting! Hidden sipper closure.  

All in very good antique condition. Perhaps a small age mark or two as to be excepted for age and use!
